Assassins in Love - Kris DeLake 3.5/5. I was hesitant about whether I wanted to read this book, but I’m glad I did. It was a quick yet highly enjoyable read. The storyline, though not entirely original, was a lot of fun – especially being spun by a strong chemistry between the well-developed characters. I was a bit disappointed with the rushed ending, but the ride of the story overall was worthwhile. The main downfall of this novel was the writing style, which at times seemed a bit clumsy. However, while it might not be a shining example of literary work, it still manages to achieve its purpose: telling a sassy, light adventure into the lives of two very racy assassins.
